Ray Gross embodied the reasons we play, parent, coach, and watch sports.
He understood the cultural contribution of sports to the development of the essential skills of hard work, dignity, teamwork, and healthy, respectful competition. Ray played to win, coached to win, and parented to win—and he also played, coached, and parented beyond the numbers on the scoreboard. His life and actions confirmed that it is always possible to demonstrate GENUINE SPORTSMANSHIP.
Sports revealed the character of Ray Gross when competing, coaching, parenting, and spectating.
