OUR MISSION. OUR STORY.
The Idaho Youth Sports Commission was founded in 2015 to help build a community of coaches, parents, and administrators who teach not only the value of winning and losing, but to a greater purpose of life lessons, fitness and fun.
Our mission is to shape young lives through the power of sports because we believe every kid deserves a positive and character building sports experience. We excecute our mission through a two part objective:
We provide education and training (from the Positive Coaching Alliance) for all involved in youth sports.
We provide financial assistance to the economically disadvantaged to help get kids into the game.

Every Kid Deserves a Chance
Through the Tom Holden Scholarship, the IYSC provides funding to underprivileged athletes who may need help with league fees, equipment, and more. Read about the scholarship, and how you can help.
Zach Madison Foundation
Zach Madison loved sports. He loved including his friends and encouraged them to overcome their fears and try new things. Inspired by Zach’s love of sports and legacy of inclusion, the Foundation was formed in 2015.
Better Athletes, Better People
The IYSC is proud to work with the Positive Coaching Alliance to provide workshops for coaches, athletes, and parents to foster a community of success not only in the game, but in life.
Sneakers for Kids
IYSC looks for opportunities to fit young people with new athletic shoes at events like the Plummer Challenge, and The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
