The Idaho Youth Sports Commission was founded in 2015 to help build a community of coaches, parents, and administrators who teach not only the value of winning and losing, but to a greater purpose of life lessons, fitness and fun.
Our mission is to shape young lives through the power of sports because we believe every kid deserves a positive and character building sports experience. We excecute our mission through a two part objective:
“Sports will engage more individuals, more families, and more communities in a shared activity than any other cultural activity, organization or religion in America.”
NFL Hall of Famer and renowned author, Joe Ehrman
Through the Tom Holden Scholarship, the IYSC provides funding to underprivileged athletes who may need help with league fees, equipment, and more. Read more about the scholarship, and how you can help.
Zach Madison loved sports. He loved including his friends and encouraged them to overcome their own fears and to try new things. Inspired by Zach’s love of sports and legacy of inclusion, The Zach Madison Foundation was formed in 2015.
The IYSC is proud to work with the Positive Coaching Alliance to provide workshops for coaches, athletes, and parents to foster a community of success not only in the game, but in life.
