Over 20 years ago, Boise State team physician Dr. George Wade and YMCA Executive Director Jim Everett began a movement to shift away from the win at all cost mindset and closer to the other significant benefits sports participation offers. With limited time and help, their movement faded. However, their vision of a better youth sports experience never ceased. Today the vision moves forward with the founding of the Idaho Youth Sports Commission (IYSC).
Leaving a Legacy

Fall sports are arriving quickly and the intense Friday nights of battling the longtime rival, the revenge for the loss of last year, and the unforgettable upcoming senior season for some. All memories that we cherish as adults and never miss a moment of recollection with friends, past teammates, and hopefully for most, our past coaches and parents.

The Idaho Youth Sports Commission helps provide education, training, and standards to ensure sports are a positive experience for all athletes, coaches, officials, and parents. We are dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of our youth, the social development of the whole person, and principles of fair play, respect, and sportsmanship.
